Tembo Care Branding and Website Design

Designers: Luca Patkós, Panni Kőműves
Client: Tembo Care

Tembo Care approached us for a comprehensive branding and digital design project. The brand was entering an important new phase: previously, under the name Hello Mums, they primarily connected families with babysitters for childcare, but from 2026 their services expanded to include elderly care as well.

This transition also led to the creation of the Tembo name, which means “elephant” in Swahili. The name reflects the brand’s philosophy well, as elephants care for one another throughout their lives – much like Tembo Care, which aims to provide support “from birth to the end of life”.

One of the key elements of the new identity was the logo, where the elephant motif naturally blends into the shape of the letter “t”. The result is a visual mark that feels friendly, understated and clean at the same time. The colour palette and typography follow the same principle, creating a brand that feels approachable and human while still communicating professionalism and reliability.

When designing the website, one of the main priorities was to make it intuitive and easy to use. The content needed to be clear and accessible for several very different target groups – carers, families, hotels and care homes – including for people who may use the platform on a daily basis. A logical structure, clear information hierarchy and custom illustrations all help support this goal.

An important part of the website is the Tembo Care Academy, a learning and training platform created for carers. As it functions as a distinct part of the wider brand, it was given its own logo while remaining visually closely connected to the Tembo Care identity.
